What do you think of this passage of SCRIPTURE, where The LORD reveals what HIS disciples "look like?" John 13:34-35 reveals us like this: A new commandment I give to you, that you LOVE one another; as I have LOVED you, that you also LOVE one another. By this all will know that you are MY disciples, if you have LOVE for one another."
Did you catch that word, "If?"
Surely, it was placed there, that we might pick it up, and retain it.
Yes, "even as The LORD, picked up HIS Cross, and carried our sins all the way to Calvary."
With that said, I ask you; "Do you always smile for pictures?" We’re usually told to smile before someone takes our picture. But in some parts of the US, a policy of no-smiling is enforced when having your picture taken for a driver’s license. Because of identity theft, these motor vehicle departments carefully check photos that have recently been taken to be sure that they don’t match others that are already in the system. If someone gets a picture taken under a false name, an alarm is sent to the operator. From 1999 to 2022, the state of California stopped 14,000 people from getting fraudulent licenses. "But why no smiling?" Well, from what I've gathered, the technology recognizes a face more easily if the person has a "neutral" facial expression.
In like manner, The LORD prescribed a good way to recognize a "BORN AGAIN" Believer."
In John 13:35,
The LORD told HIS disciples, “By this all will know that you are MY disciples, if you have LOVE for one another.”
[Yet, if one refuses to do so, and prefers to embrace the hate of the devil; The LORD reveals the children of the devil, by saying these WORDS from John 6:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in The TRUTH, because there is no TRUTH in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
[ So knowing that we are of The TRUTH; "we know it in TRUTH, by the LOVE we have for one another." ❤️ We LOVE eachother, Beloved, as Brothers."
And the ways to show our LOVE for one another, are as endless as there are people with needs": a note of encouragement, a visit, a meal, a gentle rebuke, a prayer, a BIBLE verse, a listening ear, even just a friendly smile. The apostle John wrote in 1st John 3:14, “We know that we have passed from death to LIFE, because we LOVE the Brethren.”
So can others recognize "Whose we are," by our LOVE and care for one another? Can they?"
Can they even imagine, the LOVE that we have for one another?" And by our LOVE, can they tell that our LORD and SAVIOR, is JESUS?"
I pray that they can, and that we who are BORN of GOD’S WORD and SPIRIT," do all agree with HIS WORD from 1st Corrinthians 13:1-2
Consider this TRUTH:
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not LOVE, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all FAITH, so that I could remove mountains; but have not LOVE, I am nothing.
With that said, "What are we, Beloved?"
And better yet; "Who is our FATHER?"
