Who can call Good, what GOD has said is Not?

Brethren,
Do you believe that GOD SAVED us because of our Goodness?
In other words, because we are good people?
Or do you believe, that it's because GOD is GOOD, and in HIS GOODNESS, HE prepared a HOLY SACRIFICE for our REDEMPTION?
Right!
To REDEEM us from the slave market of sin, and to the REDEMPTION that is in CHRIST, place us in.
I know that many people believe that they are good. Yes, that they are among the good element of humanity.
Yet, the SCRIPTURES conclude that all are under sin, and that we all need to be REDEEMED.
Galatians 3:22 reveals it like this by saying: “But the SCRIPTURE has confined all under sin, that the promise by FAITH in JESUS CHRIST might be given to those who believe.”
With that said, Beloved, do you recall reading Proverbs 20:6?
Let me share it with you, and get your thoughts on it.
It reads like this: “Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, but who can find a FAITHFUL man?“
From this passage of SCRIPTURE, I conclude, that most people will proclaim they are good people. Yet, who can find one who believes the WORD of the LIVING GOD?
Who can?
GOD can!
Consider this, many people see the TRUTH about themselves in the ten commandments, concluding that they have broken them. But sadly, they do absolutely nothing about it.
The apostle James taught that anyone who hears the WORD of GOD but does not obey, is simply fooling himself.
Yes, fooling himself.
Not GOD!
But only himself!
For GOD cannot be mocked, Galatians 6:7 assures us, “For whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.”
Now please, consider James 1:19-23 and how we are called to hear the WORD of the LIVING GOD, and take heed to GOD'S calling for the believing element of the world to respond with obedience.
It reads like this: “So then, my Beloved Brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to get angry, for the wrath of man does not produce the RIGHTEOUSNESS of GOD. Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted WORD, which is able to SAVE your souls. But be doers of the WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the WORD, and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror, for he observes himself, goes away, and forgets immediately what kind of man he was."
Yes, Brethren, He is like a man who looks at himself in a mirror but goes his way unchanged.
He hears GOD’S WORD, but then dismisses it, not embracing GOD'S WORD, that through his FAITH, GOD might change him. Yet, the person who looks into the mirror of GOD’S WORD, longing to be transformed, is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the WORD.
Right!
The man of FAITH who believes GOD, embraces the instructions given by his CREATOR. You see, he wants the WORD to reveal his true self and show him The Way to be made clean. So he considers closely the SCRIPTURE, that speaks to everyone who wishes to be cleansed.
Psalm 119:9-13 reveals GOD'S cleansing WORD like this: “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to YOUR WORD. With my whole heart I have sought YOU; Oh, let me not wander from YOUR commandments. YOUR WORD I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against YOU. Blessed are YOU, O LORD, teach me YOUR statutes. [Now hear comes the doing part, where the LORD sends us to preach the GOSPEL.] With my lips I have declared all the judgements of YOUR MOUTH.”
As we obey, we progressively becomes more like the Son of GOD, until he realizes that he is now a Son himself.
James said that kind of person will be blessed in what he does.
If we want to be changed, we must look into the mirror of GOD'S WORD regularly.
Yet, let’s not kid ourselves, just looking into the mirror of GOD isn’t enough.
We must take the next step, and obey the WORD of the LIVING GOD that speaks to us as to Son's and Daughters!
