What will be said of us, when we are gone?

Devotion 21: Need Prayer? Click the forum by the home tab & let us know so we can pray for you! 🤍

Brethren,

Knowing that we are each involved in a race to GLORIFY the LIVING GOD, I ask you; at the end of our race, after having fought the good fight, what do you wish to hear the LORD say of you?

Consider this,

Do you recall when the LORD spoke in Mathew 25:14-30 about servants that had been left behind to serve their MASTER, would you agree that we would each like to be among the servants who had successfully gained a profit?

Not at all like the one who was afraid and went and hid his LORD's talent. In essence, burying what was given to him.

With that said, hasn't the LORD given us the PROMISE of Everlasting LIFE?

And hasn't HE sent us to share the GOOD NEWS of the RISEN CHRIST with this lost and dying generation?

Consider this,

As the crowds gathered around the LORD near the spot where John the Baptist had taught and baptized, they remembered the baptizer’s LIFE and words, and said, “John performed no miracle, but all the things that John spoke about this Man were true.”

Like John, we don’t need to perform miracles to tell people about the RISEN CHRIST.

We don't need to do more than simply tell others about what HE accomplished for us on the Cross in order to take away our sins. We don't need to do more than tell people about what we've learned of HIM and how HE has given us HIS WORD, that HE has taken away our sins. GOD wants us to tell them how HIS WORD became flesh, and came to live among us, sinners. We can tell them that HE was in a human body, in the likeness of sinful flesh. Yet, HE was without sin, and the Only One that throughout the ages never sinned! But apart from CHRIST, all have sinned!

That's what Romans 3:23 assures us of.

And it's our receiving GOD'S TRUTH, that has granted us the amazing blessing to be BORN of HIS SPIRIT.

Our believing, and trusting in the WORD of the LIVING GOD changed our lives.

It changed our lives so much so, that now we say in the WORDS of Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with CHRIST, it is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me; and the LIFE which I now live in the flesh I live by FAITH in the Son of GOD who LOVED me and gave HIMSELF for me.”

Yes Beloved

Now we live, yet not us!

But CHRIST lives in us, and the LIFE which we now live in the flesh, we live by FAITH in the Son of GOD who LOVED us, and laid down HIS LIFE for our SALVATION.

Brethren,

Because we know to do all things for the GLORY of GOD, and offer HIM the sacrifice of praise through our obedience to share the GOSPEL of CHRIST, 1st Corinthians 10:20-22 gives us this to think about.

Consider how it reads: “Rather, than the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to GOD, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink of the cup of the LORD and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the LORD'S table and of the table of demons. Or do we provoke the LORD to jealousy? Are we stronger than HE?”

By no means, Beloved, are we stronger than HE!

And because we are not stronger than GOD, after being approved by HIM; 1st Thessalonians 2:4 tells us, that because we believe the GOSPEL of CHRIST, HE has entrusted us with the GOSPEL to speak, not as pleasing men, but GOD who tests our hearts.

The LORD, our GOD, has entrusted us to FAITHFULLY pass on the GOOD NEWS of the RISEN CHRIST, so that HE can fulfill the purpose that HE created us for.

For even after we’re gone, our words may come to the mind of those to whom we’ve witnessed to, and bring them to FAITH in the WORD of the LIVING GOD, JESUS, the CHRIST!

Consider what Philippians 1:6-10 says: “Being confident of this very thing, that HE who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the Day of JESUS CHRIST; just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the GOSPEL, you are all partakers with me of GRACE. For GOD is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of JESUS CHRIST. And this I pray, that your LOVE may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the Day of CHRIST.

Brethren,

Because there is POWER in the GOSPEL unto SALVATION by our obedience to share the GOOD NEWS and sow seeds of RIGHTEOUSNESS, the WORD of the LIVING GOD can lie dormant for a season and then spring up into Everlasting LIFE!

Yes, Everlasting LIFE, for everyone who Trusts in the finished work of the Cross of CHRIST.

Brethren,

I don't know about you but I'd be content just to know that someone described my LIFE as this: “He did no miracles, but everything he said about the LORD JESUS CHRIST was true!

Brethren, how about you?

JESUS

OK
