Brethren,
Would you agree that we all want to accomplish great things for the GLORY of GOD?
Yes, and that for HIS GLORY, we all want to be something?
Yes, something that GOD would recognize served HIM FAITHFULLY.
Yes, served HIM in TRUTH?
Surely, someone like that is worthy of HIS praise, accolades, or at very least, a well done, good and believing son?
I believe, Beloved, that we each believe GOD, and what HE declares in regards to the death, burial, and RESURRECTION of HIS Son, for the remission of our sins. And because we Believe, we have each been entrusted with the GOSPEL to speak, not as pleasing men, as 1 Thessalonians 2:4 tells us, but GOD who is testing our hearts.
Yes, for GOD is testing our hearts for FAITH.
Right!
And HE wants to see that we Believe.
For it's when we Believe, 2 Corinthians 4:13 assures us, that we will speak.
Consider how it reads: “And since we have the same SPIRIT of FAITH, according to what is written, I believed, and therefore I spoke, we also believe and therefore speak.”
Do we now see, Beloved, why GOD has given to each of us the talent and ability to speak?
Yes, so that we might present the GOSPEL of CHRIST, and demonstrate to GOD our LOVE for others, as we open up our mouth? Can we each see that, Brethren, and imagine how GOD looks on such behavior?
Right!
What HE thinks of a person, who practices obedience to HIM?
Let me help you see a little clearer, by pointing us each to Romans 10:15. Consider the LORD, our GOD, sending us to preach the GOSPEL, and how HE sees us, and says this about our feet: “And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the GOSPEL of PEACE, and bring Good News of Good things!"
Brethren,
Without LOVE in our hearts for GOD, and our fellow man how can we possibly preach for HIS GLORY?
How can we present the GOSPEL story if we don't believe that there is POWER in the GOSPEL unto SALVATION for everyone who believes?
How?
Well, simply put, we can do nothing for the GLORY of GOD, if we don't think that a believer being absolutely quiet, is something that's extremely odd!
Why odd?
Well, because we have this great treasure within us, that GOD has sent us to share with those who wish to know how to keep their soul. Their LIFE!
Yes, and not lose it to the lake of fire, called Hell.
For that's where all unrepentant sinners who have yet to believe the GOSPEL will end up!
Let me give you GOD'S WORD on the matter. Consider Mark 8:34-36, and focus on GOD’S eye-opening WORD: "Whoever desires to come after ME, let him deny himself, and Take up his cross, and follow ME. For whoever desires to save his LIFE will lose it, [Right! Whoever desires to stay in their old LIFE, doing the will and desires of the devil. Will lose their LIFE!] but whoever loses his LIFE for MY sake and the GOSPEL'S will SAVE IT. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own Soul?”
With that SCRIPTURE read, and our eye's thoroughly opened.
What are we, Beloved, without having LOVE for one another, and preaching the GOSPEL, to our brother?
Let me give you GOD'S report on the matter. Consider how 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 reveals it: “Though I speak with tongues of men and of angels, but have not LOVE, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all FAITH, so that I could remove mountains, but have not LOVE, I am nothing.“
[Did you catch that, Beloved? Without having LOVE for one another, We are nothing!]
And so I ask you, Beloved; what does it profit it anyone, to achieve great things in the sight of men, but have not LOVE for GOD?
Nothing!
Because GOD says, that the wise are those who hear HIS WORD, and build their house on the ROCK. The same ROCK which we are each to be established on, by following GOD’S WORD in obedience.
Why by obedience?
Because it's not by our disobedience.
Thus, 1st Corinthians 13:3 continues by saying: “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not LOVE, it profits me nothing.”
Surely, the LIGHT of GOD’S WORD helps us each see clearly enough to know how to profit? Yes, and in this case, it helps us see what we are without LOVE for GOD, and for one another.
Let me show you what the greatest LOVE of all looks like.
John 15:13 describes it like this: “Greater LOVE has no one than this, than to lay down one's LIFE for HIS friends.“
Brethren,
From that SCRIPTURE, I clearly understand, that the greatest LOVE of all, is demonstrated in laying down our lives to serve GOD, and others.
Yes, in serving HIM, who in John 15:14-16 has this to say: “You are MY friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his MASTER is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from MY FATHER I have made known to you.”
You did not choose ME, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the FATHER in MY NAME HE may give you.
Is there anything you need, Beloved, to serve the LORD, our GOD, with all your heart?
If so, in JESUS NAME, feel free to ask.
Ask, and it will be given to you, [Mathew 7:7 assures us]; “seek, and you shall find, knock, and it will be opened unto you!"
Brethren,
Hasn’t the LORD made it abundantly clear, that every soul is precious to HIM?
Yes, and that HE is not willing that any should perish? So HE will give us what we need to do the work of an Evangelist, and fulfill our Ministry.
For 1 Thessalonians 2:4 affirms that being approved by, GOD, HE has entrusted us with the GOSPEL to speak, not as pleasing men, but GOD who is testing our hearts.
Yes, and HE has made known to each of us, that HE has chosen through the foolishness of preaching, to SAVE those who believe.
Consider 1st Corinthians 1:21, and how GOD'S WORD makes this abundantly clear, by saying: “For since, in the wisdom of GOD, the world through wisdom did not know GOD, it pleased GOD through the foolishness of the message preached to SAVE those who believe.”
So is it abundantly clear, beloved, that since GOD has chosen through preaching, to SAVE the believing element of the world?
And if so, we would each do well to consider GOD'S instruction from Philippians 2:3-4, that instructs each of us, saying: “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Did you catch that?
Look out for others, and LOVE them, as if they were our brothers.
And with that said, would you agree that we only LOVE JESUS as much as we LOVE the person we LOVE the least?
Though we might squirm at this question, here's a second dose in 1 John 4:20-21 to help us consider GOD'S commandment to LOVE others, more seriously!
It reads like this: “If someone says, "I LOVE GOD," and hates his brother, he is a liar, for he who does not LOVE his brother whom he has seen, how can he LOVE GOD whom he has not seen?“
And this commandment we have from HIM: that he who LOVES GOD, must LOVE his brother also.
Is that clear, Beloved?
He who does not LOVE his brother whom he has seen, how can he LOVE GOD whom he has not seen?
So I ask you, Beloved have anyone of us ever found ourselves criticizing others while overlooking our own faults?
Consider this: If we LOVE GOD only as much as we LOVE the people we criticize, then we must LOVE HIM very little!
And how are we to LOVE HIM?
Isn't it, with all our heart, and above all else?
Aren’t we to LOVE others, even as we LOVE ourselves?
Can we now see, Beloved, why the LORD assures us, that many will say to HIM in that day, 'LORD, LORD,'
have we not prophesied in YOUR NAME, cast out demons in YOUR NAME, and done many wonders in YOUR NAME?'
[And HE will respond to them], ”I never knew you; depart from ME, you who practice lawlessness.”
Brethren,
Isn’t it obedience that GOD demands from us?
How do we prove our LOVE for GOD?
With obedience, beloved.
JESUS ✞
