Isn't it by obedience, that we truly worship The LORD, our GOD?
Brethren,
How do you feel about the grace of GOD?
The free gift of GOD, of Everlasting LIFE, for all who trust in JESUS CHRIST?
Do you cherish it, knowing that the grace of GOD is the most amazing gift, that anyone could ever give someone else?
It's a gift for everyone who trusts in JESUS CHRIST?
Consider how Ephesians 2:8-9 expounds and elaborates, saying: For by GRACE you have been SAVED through FAITH, and that not of yourselves; it is the Gift of GOD, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
That makes it abundantly clear, Beloved Brethren, that Everlasting LIFE, is a gift from GOD. And no one can pay for, nor earn, a gift!
Brethren,
After having trusted in JESUS CHRIST, are we all in agreement, that we are to turn from sin perpetually?
Turn from doing the will and desires of the devil?
I am absolutely certain that it is!
For Acts 17:30-31 assures us of this, in saying that GOD has appointed a time in which HE will judge the world in RIGHTEOUSNESS by the Man Whom HE has ordained.
Consider how Acts 17:30-31 reveals this: Truly, these times of ignorance GOD overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, [Yes, to repent of doing the will of the powers of darkness, and no longer walk in darkness!] because HE has appointed a day on which HE will judge the world in RIGHTEOUSNESS by the Man Whom HE has ordained. HE has given assurance of this to all by raising HIM from the dead.”
Brethren,
The apostle Paul said in Romans 5:20, “Where sin abounded, GRACE abounded Much More.” But that radical concept opens a theological floodgate. The Biblical writer Jude warned that it is possible to “change The GRACE of our GOD, into lewdness, which makes many retain the thought that we have license for immorality.”
A license to sin!
Because our sins were judged on the Cross, many think that sin will no longer affect them, even if they continue to live in it, deliberately.
In essence they are saying to themselves: Why not sin, if we have already been FORGIVEN?
The book of Jude 1:4 describes people with that kind of thinking, like this: For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the GRACE of our GOD into lewdness and deny the only LORD GOD and our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
They deny HIM?
Yes, they deny HIM the worship HE deserves.
Clearly, they refuse to serve HIM, and announce what HE sends every Believer to announce.
Every Believer?
Yes, for every Believer, is one who has been approved by GOD. Approved by GOD, to speak, not as pleasing men, but GOD Who tests our hearts. 1st Thessalonians 2:4 assures us of this.
GOD is testing our hearts, Beloved Brethren,
and opening our eye's with HIS WORD, saying in 2nd Corrinthians 4:13.
And since we have the same SPIRIT of FAITH, according to what is written, I Believed and therefore I spoke.
We also Believe and therefore speak.
Brethren,
We each praise GOD, that The LORD finished the work of The Cross. Yet, because HE did finish the work, many think to themselves; Why be good if we have already been FORGIVEN?
Others try and justify sin, by saying: I'm not perfect, I'm just FORGIVEN!
Thus, the LORD speaks to them directly from Luke 16:15, saying: “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but GOD knows your heart. For what is highly esteemed in the sight of men, is an abomination in the Sight of GOD.”
Brethren,
Those who think that way, surely don't consider for a second, that they might be among the people whom will hear The LORD, say to them: Depart from ME, I never knew you.
They don't consider for a second, that Mathew 7:19-23 has this to say: “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Not everyone who says to ME, LORD, LORD,' shall enter the KINGDOM Of HEAVEN, but he who does the will of MY FATHER in HEAVEN. Many will say to ME in that day, 'LORD, LORD,' have we not prophesied in YOUR NAME, and cast out demons in YOUR NAME, and done many wonders in YOUR NAME?' And I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from ME, you who practice lawlessness.
And that simply means, Depart from ME, you who do the will and desires of the devil.
Brethren,
Those who claim to Believe, but do not turn from darkness, but continue doing the will of the powers of darkness.
Not even an emphasis on repentance erases the danger of eternal damnation completely for them. But the LORD, Beloved, not willing that any should perish. Speaks from Mathew 18:3, saying these WORDS?
Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
Eye-opening, wouldn't you say?
Well, HE continues saying in Mathew 18:4.
Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in The KINGDOM of HEAVEN.
I praise GOD, Beloved, for whoever humbles himself, to do the will of The LORD, our GOD!
For he has become as a child who knows to Believe, and obey The WORD of his FATHER.
Obey his FATHER'S instructions?
Isn't that, Beloved, what a child knows how to do? And doesn't that speak of me and you?
Brethren,
When in Romans 6:16 the apostle Paul assured us, that we are slaves to Whom we obey." He spoke directly to the point, when he exclaimed. “Shall we continue in sin that GRACE may abound?”
Anticipating that all would know to refuse the seductive powers of darkness, is why I believe, that Paul gave this short but explosive answer, saying: “Certainly not!”
Paul then used this analogy that contrasts death and LIFE. “How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?”
No Christian, Beloved, resurrection to new LIFE, is to be living in sin, or mistreating his wife.
Right!
For we are to LOVE our wives, just as CHRIST LOVED the Church, and gave HIMSELF for her.
Yes, for us!
Surely, we each agree with this point?
I pray that we do, Beloved Brethren.
For there are many who claim that GOD is their LORD. But they don't find the wickedness of doing the will and desires of the devil, as something that reeks, and has the stench of death.
They don't see it, as
something that's intolerable!
But I assure you, that it's intolerable, nonetheless!
For The LORD will deal with every wicked servant.
Brethren,
Because we've each been born sinners, and no one needed to teach us how to lie, steal, or blaspheme the HOLY NAME Of GOD."
GOD has been patient with us." But nonetheless, HE will deal our wrongdoings. Consider how Hebrews 12:6-8 assures us of this, by saying: For whom The LORD LOVES HE chastens and scourges every son whom HE recieves. But knowing that not everyone can take the heat of the scouring, the WORD continues by saying: If you endure chastening, GOD deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
Are we son's, Beloved Brethren?
Yes?
Well, because GOD Who chastens us, is also our HELPER.
In Romans 6:11 HE gives each of us, this admonition, saying: “Reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to GOD in CHRIST JESUS our LORD, and Do not let sin reign in your mortal body.”
Why?
Well, because we have repented of doing the will and desires of the devil!
And obedience to GOD'S WORD, is now our LIFE!
Yes, our LIFE, that is even now, hidden in CHRIST.
Consider how Colossians 3:3-4 reveals it by saying: “For you died, and your LIFE is hidden with CHRIST in GOD. When CHRIST Who is our LIFE appears, then you will also appear with HIM in GLORY. Therefore, put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.”
And then the LORD continues, by assuring each of us: Because of these things, the wrath of GOD is coming upon the sons of disobedience.
The son's of disobedience?
Yes, the son's who know to do the will of GOD, and simply refuse to do it.
And is it any wonder that James 4:17 admonishes us, by saying: Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.
Right!
To everyone who does not embrace The WORD of The LIVING GOD, to obey."
To them, Beloved, The LORD speaks directly from John 8:44, saying:
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in The TRUTH, because there is no TRUTH in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Brethren,
From what I've gathered, our LORD demands that we be people of TRUTH.
Because we Believe HIM, Who is the TRUTH, JESUS CHRIST!
And HE wants each of us to know, Beloved, that we are each simply slaves of Whom we obey. So we are to be people of TRUTH, and worship JESUS, as LORD, that way!
For it's only in that way, Beloved Brethren, that our LORD will recieve our worship?
For if we truly understand the depths of GOD’S LOVE for us, and the lengths HE went to SAVE us.We will spend our days aiming to GLORIFY HIM, and delight in our obedience to HIM.
