Brethren,
How long have you been walking with The LORD, our GOD?
And how long have you been seeking to do HIS will?
I ask you this question because it was roughly thirty-five hundred years ago that Moses embraced his calling to serve GOD, and asked HIM in Exodus 3:13 "what NAME" he should tell the children of Israel sent him?
Consider how it reads: Then Moses said to GOD, "Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, 'The GOD of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, "What is HIS NAME?'
What shall I say to them?"
And Moses got a very unexpected answer.
GOD said, “Say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ This is MY Name FOREVER.”
Brethren,
Many have wondered why GOD would call HIMSELF by such a NAME. But by diligently seeking the LORD,I now think that I understand why. A sentence needs only two things to be complete: a subject and a verb. So when the LORD says that HIS Name is “I AM,” it conveys the concept that HE is complete in HIMSELF.
And Beloved, Colossians 2:10 assures us, saying: “And you are complete in HIM, Who is the HEAD of all principality.”
Brethren,
CHRIST is subject and verb. And HE is absolutely everything we could ever need! Yes, in CHRIST, we are complete.
And so, beloved,
GOD's WORD became a baby in a manger, in the Person of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, and put flesh on GOD’s bare-boned answer to the question posed by Moses, “Who are YOU?” The WORD of GOD, Beloved, left HEAVEN to shine forth the LIGHT of GOD's TRUTH on the darkness of Satan’s deception.
Yes, LIGHT came into this worlds’ darkness so that one who seeks after GOD would know the TRUTH.
Right!
The TRUTH of GOD, that sets one free.
Yes, free of Satan’s deception and lies!
And Beloved, when the time is at hand, the LORD tells HIS disciples that seek HIM diligently, “I AM The WAY, The TRUTH, and The LIFE; no one comes to The FATHER except through ME.”
HE also said, “I AM The BREAD of LIFE, The LIGHT of the world, The GOOD Shepherd, and The RESURRECTION and The LIFE”. And in the last book of The BIBLE, Revelation, the LORD said, “I AM The Alpha and The Omega, The Beginning and The End, The First and The Last”. And to the religious Pharisees, The LORD affirmed: “Before Abraham was, I AM”.
Yes, JESUS CHRIST is HE Who was, Who is, and Who is to Come!
And Brethren, to everyone who ignores the WORD of the LIVING GOD, and yet glories in the things of this world, Jeremiah 9:23-24 has this to say: "Thus says The LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the "strong man" glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches. But let him who glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows ME, that I AM The LORD."
Everyone who wants to know GOD, must seek HIM Who speaks in The BIBLE.
Yes!
And come to know JESUS, the WORD of the LIVING GOD.
Get to know Who?
JESUS! For it is HE that in the beginning said: “Let there be LIGHT, and there was LIGHT!"
JESUS CHRIST, is the same WORD that proceeded from a burning bush, and declared to Moses, saying: "I AM Who I AM."
HE is the same I AM, who assured some religious men called Pharisees, saying: Assuredly, I say to you, Before Abraham was,
"I AM."
And Beloved, I praise GOD that we believe the WORD of the LIVING GOD.
And we are honored to serve HIM, and proclaim HIS finished work of the Cross and in that way, know that HE is our BOSS.
