How are you with taking advice?

Do you prefer giving it out?

Personally speaking, I’ve received a lot of good advice in my LIFE.

None better than to shun evil and to pursue doing the will of GOD.

Brethren, Our LIFE is not made by the dreams that we dream, but by the choices we make.

So how much better to walk with The LORD, being real, than to know in our heart that our love for HIM is fake?

For surely, we can all agree that the reality of our LIFE today is the sum total of all the choices that we’ve made throughout the way.

And Brethren, I believe that you might agree that the best choice we've made up to today was to Trust in The WORD Of The LIVING GOD that tells us, that on The Cross our sins were taken away.

Wouldn't you say?

The WORD Of GOD encourages us to make excellent choices Beloved. And since we have each approved of JESUS CHRIST, The WORD Of The LIVING GOD, we each have chosen HIM through FAITH in GOD’S TRUTH. We each made an excellent choice when we embraced JESUS CHRIST as our LORD, and SAVIOR.

Thus, The LORD is working to establish everyone who would Believe in HIM. Even as HE did when through the apostle Paul, HE gave this advice to the Philippians in Philippians 1:9-14 saying, “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till The Day of CHRIST, being filled with the fruit of RIGHTEOUSNESS which are by JESUS CHRIST, to The GLORY and PRAISE of GOD. But I want you to know Brethren that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of The GOSPEL, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard and to all the rest that my chains are in CHRIST; and most of The Brethren in The LORD having become confident in my chains, are much more BOLD to speak The WORD without fear."

Brethren, In any given situation, we have choices to make to preach The GOSPEL ranging from bad, to mediocre choices, to choices that are good, and even excellent!

Consider this, 1 Thessalonians 2:4 declares,”But as we have been approved by GOD to be entrusted with The GOSPEL, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but GOD who tests our hearts.”

Knowing that GOD is testing our hearts, would you agree that GOD wants us to look past our natural impulses?

And knowing that we have The Mind of CHRIST, would you say that HE wants us to focus on making excellent choice?

Yes, choices like LOVING GOD above all else, and our fellow man as we LOVE ourselves.

Brethren, Knowing that we are SAVED by GRACE through FAITH, consider 2nd Timothy 2:1-13, and how The WORD of The LIVING GOD, encourages each of us to partake in the Great Commission saying, “Therefore, MY Son, be strong in the grace that is in CHRIST JESUS. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses. Commit these to FAITHFUL men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of JESUS CHRIST. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this LIFE that he may please HIM who enlisted him as a soldier.”

Did you catch that?

Can you see that we are to follow our LORD's orders?

And also if someone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.

Consider what I say and may The Lord give you understanding in all things.

Remember that JESUS CHRIST of the seed of David, was raised from the dead according to my Gospel for which I suffer trouble as an evildoer, even to the point of chains; but The WORD of GOD is not chained. Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the SALVATION which is in CHRIST JESUS with Eternal GLORY.

This is a FAITHFUL saying:

For if we died with HIM, we shall also live with HIM.

If we endure, we shall also reign with HIM. If we deny HIM, HE also will deny us. If we are FAITHLESS, HE remains FAITHFUL; HE cannot deny HIMSELF.

Brethren, It’s often challenging to make the excellent choice, especially if there aren’t many others joining us in reaching out to this lost and dying world. Sometimes it may feel as if our desires and freedoms have been suppressed because we have died to sin and the lusts of this sinful flesh. But if we follow Paul’s advice, we will notice positive outcomes like being pure and blameless and even nice.

Yes, we will be like the man that Psalm 1:1-3 clearly depicts saying, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of The LORD, and in HIS law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the side of the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither.

Brethren, My advice is that we make an excellent choice and live a LIFE filled with LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, and SELF-CONTROL. Why?

Well, because if we don't, some heads are gonna roll!
