Have you ever tried using your imagination to picture The LORD'S "FACE?" What about HIS "VOICE?" Have you ever "imagined," what HIS VOICE might sound like?"
Ezekiel 43:2 gives us a good idea."
Consider how it's described:
And, Behold, The GLORY of The GOD of Israel came from the way of the east. HIS VOICE was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with HIS GLORY.
[And Revalation 19:12-13 adds this]:
HIS Eye's were like a flame of fire, and on HIS HEAD were many crowns.
HE had a name written that no one knew except HIMSELF.
HE was clothed with a robe dipped in BLOOD, and HIS NAME
is called The WORD Of GOD.
["Did you catch that?"]
HIS NAME is called The WORD Of GOD = JESUS CHRIST.
Yes, HE is, "The WORD of The LIVING GOD - JESUS CHRIST.
That's HIS NAME.
The NAME above all names!
The only NAME given under HEAVEN, by which we MUST be SAVED.
But because of a great number of images, that portray The LORD'S FACE, are bought and sold, on a regular basis. Many people think that they know exactly what HE looks like.
Yet, does The LORD condone such things as images? Hardly!"
Consider how Exodus 20:2-6 assures us, that HE is adamantly against it.
It reads: "I AM The LORD your GOD, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
"You shall have no other gods before ME.
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image - any likeness of anything that is in HEAVEN above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, The LORD your GOD, am a jealous GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and forth generations of those who hate ME, but showing MERCY to thousands, to those who LOVE ME and keep MY commandments.
[With that said, "who is it, Beloved, that LOVES The LORD?
Those who obey The WORD of GOD?" Or those, who prefer to make for themselves an image to worship, and to bow down to?
Isn't it one who obeys GOD, and keeps HIS commandments?
Absolutely!" 💯
Brethren,
Because disobedience to GOD'S WORD and commandments, is preferred by most people; images of what people think JESUS looked like, are located in many people's homes.
And because they are, many people think that they see HIM regularly.
Have you ever seen an image, that portrays The LORD knocking on a wooden door?" The person who made such an image, must've imagined this scene in his mind,
after reading Revalation 3:20.
Let me share it with you and get your thoughts on it.
It reads:
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears MY VOICE and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with ME.
[Now considering that we are each being tested; and that 2nd Timothy 2:15 has this to say:
Be diligent to present yourself approved to GOD, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing The WORD of TRUTH.
The LORD adds what's written, in Revalation 3:21-22
To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with ME on MY Throne, as I also overcame and sat down with MY FATHER on HIS Throne.
"He who has an ear, let him hear what The SPIRIT says to the churches." ' "
[Can you picture the scene?]
What about the one, that depicts HIM as a Shepherd with HIS sheep?"
Surely those who make for themselves such an image,
get the idea from John 10:27-28
It reads like this:
MY sheep hear MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow ME.
And I give them Eternal LIFE, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of MY Hand."
[Can you picture it, Beloved?]
Well, what many people don't know, and vaguely consider, is that before they were born, those pictures of JESUS, didn’t even exist.
A well known artist painted the well-known “Head of CHRIST” and other portraits of JESUS in the 1940s. Those images were just one man’s idea of what he thinks JESUS might've looked like.
As a matter of fact, The BIBLE never gives a physical description of The LORD, JESUS CHRIST.
Even the men who saw HIM every day, didn’t tell us what HE looked like.
In fact, the only clue we have about the physical appearance of JESUS, is a passage in Isaiah 53:2, that reads:
“There is no beauty that we should desire HIM”.
[It seems that The LORD'S human form and appearance, was deliberately de-emphasized."
But why?
Because HE looked like an ordinary man." You see, people weren’t drawn to HIM because of physical beauty, or a regal appearance."
But they chose to trust in HIM, because of what HE said, and the miracles HE did." The power that HE possessed to raise the dead, heal the sick, and cleanse the lepers, lead them to embrace HIM, as Israel's long-awaited MESSIAH."
Yet, many who were still uncertain, later embraced HIM because of HIS message of LOVE." Right!"
But know this; the next time HE comes to this earth, it will be much different." Much different!"
When HE finally returns, and calls us up into the clouds; we will recognize HIM, as the BRIDEGROOM that was to come, for a cleansed, and purified bride."
So we must continually seek wisdom, that will help us keep our lamps burning.🔥
For we don't want to be counted among the five unwise virgins, that were found unprepared when the Bridegroom returned.
Consider how Mathew 25:1-13
speaks of them:
"Then the Kingdom of Heaven shall be likened to ten wise virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the Bridegroom.
Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
But while the Bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the Bridegroom is coming, go out to meet HIM!'
Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.' But the wise answered, saying,
'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.' And while they went out to buy, the Bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with HIM to the wedding; and the Door was shut.
"Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'LORD, LORD, open to us!' But HE answered and said,
'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
"Watch therefore, for you know neither the Day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
[Brethren,
Isn't it true, that at an unexpected hour, the Son of Man, will one day come?
Doesn't 1st Thessalonians 5:1-8
make this abundantly clear by saying:
But concerning the times and the seasons, Brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
For you yourselves know perfectly that the Day of The LORD so comes as a thief in the night.
[Did you catch that? At an unexpected hour.]
For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, Brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
You are all sons of LIGHT and sons of the Day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the Day be sober, putting on the breastplate of FAITH and LOVE, and as a helmet the hope of SALVATION.
[Brethren,
Knowing who we are, and Whom we have Believed;
The STONE which the builders rejected; gives us this WORD from Revalation 19:6-10
saying:
And I heard, as it were, The VOICE of a great multitude, and the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thundering, saying, "ALLELUIA!
For The LORD GOD OMNIPOTENT reigns!
Let us be glad and rejoice and give HIM GLORY, for the marriage of The LAMB has come, and HIS wife has made herself ready."
And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen are the RIGHTEOUS acts of the saints.
Then HE said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of The LAMB!" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of GOD." And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that!
I am your fellow servant, and of your Brethren who have the testimony of JESUS. Worship GOD!
For the testimony of JESUS is The SPIRIT of prophecy."
[Brethren,
Please know that we are among the most Blessed, and have already received our invitation to the marriage supper of The LAMB.'
And personally, I am anxious to attend and be gathered together in HOLY matrimony, to "The Great and Powerful, I AM!"
Yes, and I am anxious to see you there! "Worshiping and praising GOD," even if you have no hair."
